New here? Take a seat & get cozy – we’ll get you up to speed on all things event rentals.

We get it: rentals, design, logistics…it can feel like a lot. This page covers all the basics (and a few specifics) so you know exactly what to expect when working with our expert team.

    • Every project begins with a collaborative consultation to understand your vision, event type, timeline, and space.

    • We develop curated mood boards and a furniture plan to establish the overall design direction.

    • Based on the plan, we create customized rental selections or recommend custom fabrication if needed.

    • Once selections are finalized, our team handles logistics, delivery, and scheduling.

    • Your designer remains on-site for installation and styling to ensure everything is executed as intended.

    • All rentals are curated through a design lens and supported by creative guidance.

    • We offer furniture and décor rentals, creative design support, and custom fabrication when a project calls for it.

  • Helm House projects typically begin around $5,000 in rentals, reflecting the level of design, service, and logistics involved in each project. That said, we understand that every project is different. Smaller-scale projects may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on scope, timeline, and availability.

Our goal is to ensure every project receives the same thoughtful design attention and seamless execution that defines Helm House.

    • Yes, individual pieces may be rented depending on availability and scope.

    • Many clients start with a curated collection or pre-styled lounge and customize from there.

    • Our team will help ensure individual selections still feel cohesive within your space.

    • Yes. Delivery and professional installation are included as part of our service model.

    • Your Helm House designer stays on-site through install to manage placement, styling, and final adjustments.

    • Strike and pickup are coordinated following the event or install window.

  • Yes. Customization is a key part of the Helm House approach. In addition to curated rental selections, we offer a range of customization options to tailor pieces to your project’s vision.

    Customization options may include:

    • Custom tabletop treatments, including vinyl graphics, patterned wraps, and temporary surface finishes

    • Table enhancements, such as applied trims, edge details, or surface accents

    • Printed linens and soft goods designed specifically for your event or environment

    • Reupholstery of soft seating to introduce new textures, colors, or patterns

    • Custom bar facades and branded fronts to elevate or transform existing bar structures

    • Fully custom fabrication, from furniture elements to structural or decorative features, when provided with appropriate lead time

Customization availability, scope, and timelines are reviewed during the design phase and quoted separately based on complexity and production requirements.

    • We work across events, interiors, pop-ups, brand activations, and curated environments.

    • Our pieces are designed to be flexible and work in both short-term and longer-term installations.

    • Each project is approached with the same level of care, regardless of scale.

    • We recommend reaching out as early as possible to ensure availability and design time.

    • Lead times vary based on project scope, seasonality, and whether custom fabrication is required.

    • Shorter timelines may be accommodated depending on availability.

    • Helm House serves projects primarily in Texas, with a focus on Austin and Houston.

    • Travel and extended service areas can be discussed based on project needs.

    • Pricing is based on rental selections, duration, logistics, and design scope.

    • Custom fabrication and extended installs are quoted separately.

    • Detailed estimates are provided following the design and selection phase.

  • Yes. Certain projects may require after-hours, weekend, or holiday service, which can incur additional fees. These surcharges reflect extended labor hours, staffing requirements, and logistical considerations outside of standard business operations.

Any applicable after-hours, late-night pickup, weekend, or holiday fees will be outlined in advance during the planning and proposal phase, so there are no surprises. Our goal is to ensure seamless execution while respecting the time and resources required to support each project.

  • We understand that events and installations are dynamic environments. Normal wear from standard use is expected and accounted for. In the event that an item is damaged beyond normal wear, our team will assess the condition following strike.

If repair or replacement is required, associated costs will be communicated clearly and billed accordingly. In some cases, a refundable security deposit or damage waiver may be required depending on the scope and nature of the project.

Our goal is always to handle these situations professionally, transparently, and with as little disruption as possible.

  • Helm House is a design-led rental and fabrication studio, not an event planning or full-service production company. While we provide design guidance, creative layout advice, and furniture plans to support how our pieces are used within a space, we do not plan events, manage vendors, or source items outside of the Helm House collection.

Our role is to offer thoughtful design direction and provide the furniture, décor, and custom elements needed to furnish and elevate your environment. We work collaboratively alongside event planners, designers, brands, or hosts to ensure our rentals integrate seamlessly into the broader vision.
